Final reflection in the Bachelor's minor subject Sociology

  • You do not need to register in heiCO for the final reflection (module BA B7).
  • A document must be created in accordance with the content specifications in the module handbook; there are no format requirements.
  • The document, including personal details and matriculation number, must be sent by email to the Examination Administration Office (

    pruefungsverwaltung@mwi.uni-heidelberg.de

    ).

Recognition and crediting of academic achievements

  • Recognition and crediting of academic achievements are based on the Heidelberg University Statutes governing the procedure for recognition and crediting of academic achievements and the relevant sections of the examination regulations (Bachelor's and Master's programmes). Applications for recognition and/or crediting of academic achievements must be submitted in writing (informal) stating the student's details and bearing their signature, together with the relevant attachments/evidence.

Application for admission to the Bachelor's and Master's examinations (BA/MA thesis)

  • The relevant application form is available for download. Please send the original application for admission by post or drop it in Ms Ponier-Kröhl's letterbox. Please enclose the necessary supporting documents as specified in the examination regulations with your application. You can obtain your transcript of records from the examination office, but you must print out the study progress document yourself via heiCO.

Medical certificates

  • For events: please submit directly to the lecturer as soon as possible.
  • For examinations: please submit to Ms Ponier-Kröhl as soon as possible. The following information must be included: matriculation number, degree programme, date and name of the examination. Examination registration

  • Students must register for examinations online via heiCO during the registration period, taking note of the information provided in the next section.

Examination dates Lectures / Examination dates for seminars

Examination dates and registration periods are announced via heiCO and can be viewed in the course description under the ‘Details’ link in the ‘Examination dates & registration’ section.

Tip: If you register for the examination via your curriculum, you can select a free examination node right away. This makes it easier to register for the examination.

Two exam dates are set for Bachelor's courses: 6 ECTS, graded

  • 2 ECTS, ungraded

Three exam dates are set for Master's courses: 6 ECTS, graded

  • 4 ECTS, graded
  • 2 ECTS, ungraded

Please make sure you register for the correct exam with the desired exam node.

Document issuance

  • Transcripts can be printed out in heiCO itself: To do this, go to the ‘My Services’ tile and then click on the small icon that looks like a sheet of paper at the top left (next to ‘Filter’) to download the transcript.
  • Final documents can be picked up by appointment or sent by post.
  • Certificates of all kinds can be requested by email or during office hours/telephone consultation.

Recording of examination results

  • Examination results are recorded exclusively online in heiCO. This also applies to results achieved in other departments. If necessary, please contact the department in which you achieved the result. Traditional certificates are only issued and accepted in exceptional cases. These must be sealed in order to be recorded.
  • Results from other departments are registered in heiCO as ‘free registration’ and submitted via heiCO. Please note the regulations of the other department. Once the grade is available, please contact the examination administration office with the module details so that the result from the other department can be recorded.
